I’ve been hearing how great Koyaanisqatsi is for years now. Inky’s gifs put me over the edge. I had to see it. And this glorious video-portrait is what I found.
I also bring you a review courtesy of my 11-year-old brother. Upon hearing about the film’s premise: “Sounds like a hippie film.” While watching (part) of it: [insert imitation of the throaty “Koyanisqatsi” intonation (which he heard as “Wisconsin”) while doing a mock-indian dance]. Also: “I don’t think a film should have fifteen minutes of epic nature panoramas with non-epic music.”
